ECP Sets Deadline for Political Parties to Submit Financial Statements

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a reminder to all political party heads to submit their consolidated financial statements for the past fiscal year by the 29th of next month. This annual requirement aims to ensure transparency in the financial practices of political entities.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it is mandatory for each political party to provide a comprehensive account of its financials within sixty days of the fiscal year’s end. The statement must present a clear view of the party’s financial status and confirm that no funds were received from sources prohibited by the Election Act, 2017.

For convenience, the ECP has made printed forms available at no cost at the Election Commission Secretariat in Islamabad and the offices of provincial Election Commissioners. Additionally, Form-D and the proforma for the source of funds can be accessed on the ECP’s website, facilitating compliance and ensuring that all parties meet their legal obligations.
