Karachi, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan released its foreign exchange rates for 23rd and 24th October, indicating marginal rises in the selling rates of major currencies against the Pakistani Rupee.
According to a news release by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on the 24th of October, the United States Dollar (USD) was being bought at 278.50 PKR and sold at 281.50 PKR. This compares to rates from the 23rd of October, where the buying rate for USD was 278.00 PKR and the selling rate was 281.00 PKR.
For the Euro, the rates on the 24th were set at 294.00 PKR for buying and 297.00 PKR for selling, up from 293.00 PKR and 296.00 PKR respectively on the previous day. The British Pound (GBP) also saw an increase in its selling rate, moving from 342.00 PKR on the 23rd to 343.50 PKR on the 24th, while the buying rate shifted from 339.00 PKR to 340.50 PKR.
Other currencies like the Japanese Yen (JPY), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Saudi Riyal (SR) remained relatively stable with negligible differences in their rates over the two days.
In the interbank market, the rate for 24th October stood at 279.40 PKR for buying and 279.60 PKR for selling, a slight increase from 279.10 PKR and 279.30 PKR respectively on the 23rd of October.
