Federal Finance Minister Leads Efforts to Streamline Trade with Pakistan Single Window Initiative

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, chaired the fourth meeting of the Governing Council of Pakistan Single Window (PSW) today at the Finance Division, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of trade processes in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Finance announcement issued on 10 July 2024, the meeting was attended by the Secretary Commerce, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and other key officials, where updates on the implementation of the PSW system were discussed. The CEO of PSW provided a detailed report on the progress of the initiative, highlighting performance benchmarks and addressing challenges faced during the system’s implementation.

Minister Aurangzeb directed the PSW team to accelerate the implementation process, ensure comprehensive stakeholder engagement, and enhance system security. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the PSW reforms to facilitate smoother trade and business operations across the nation.
