Federal Interior Minister Responds to Tragic Kite String Incident in Islamabad

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has taken decisive action following the tragic death of a 7-year-old girl caused by a kite string in Islamabad. The incident, which occurred under the jurisdiction of Khanna Police Station, prompted the minister to express deep sorrow and extend condolences to the victim’s family.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi has requested a thorough report from the IG of Islamabad and ordered a strict enforcement of the existing ban on kite flying. He emphasized that the police must act without bias in prosecuting those who defy the ban. Following his directives, the Islamabad Police launched an extensive operation against kite flying near Rawalpindi, resulting in 23 arrests across 39 raids. This action reflects the government’s commitment to enforcing public safety laws strictly and sensitively.
