Finance Minister Condemns Attack on Customs Officials in Dera Ismael Khan

Islamabad, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb has condemned the firing incident that targeted Customs officials in Dera Ismael Khan during an anti-smuggling operation. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of two Customs officers and left others injured.

According to Press Information Department, Mr. Aurangzeb expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs. He also extended unwavering support to them during these difficult times. Additionally, the Finance Minister prayed for the swift recovery of the injured Customs officials and reiterated that the sacrifice of the martyrs would not go in vain.

The Minister made it clear that the government is determined to tackle smugglers with “iron hands” and will continue anti-smuggling operations to eliminate the illegal activity from the country. His statement underscores the government’s resolve to support law enforcement officers and combat smuggling to maintain order and safety.
