Finance Minister Supports Growth of Pakistan’s IT Industry

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for the information technology (IT) sector, underlining its role as a pivotal element for economic growth and innovation in Pakistan. During discussions with the Executive Committee Members of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA), the importance of the IT sector was acknowledged as crucial for the country’s development.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting with PASHA, chaired by Muhammad Zohaib Khan, focused on the association’s ongoing initiatives and the essential need for government backing to stimulate further growth in the IT industry. Minister Aurangzeb recognized PASHA’s vital contributions and assured the association of continued governmental support.

The discussions concluded with both parties reaffirming their dedication to collaboratively overcome challenges and seize opportunities in the IT sector, aiming to enhance Pakistan’s position in the global technology landscape.
