Football: National Challenge Cup Final will witness new emerging champion of Pakistan

Lahore, May 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): National Challenge Cup 2013 Final will witness the new emerging champion of Pakistan. For the past ten days, football fans witnessed exciting encounters among top 16 teams of Pakistan Premier League (PPL) and Pakistan Football Federation League (PFFL).

According to the press release issued here by PFF. In the First Semi Final, after a nail biting encounter between NBP (National Bank of Pakistan) and WAPDA. NBP registered its place in the final on the National Challenge Cup 2013. NBP holds it nerve after scoring the only goal in the 23rd minute of the first half by Atiq Ullah. WAPDA pushed NBP to its limit but men of steel stood to their stance and gave no chance to WAPDA to equalize.

In the Second Semi Final KESC and PAF lock their horns to get the place in Final of the National Challenge Cup 2013. PAF was confident after thrashing PACA 4:0 in the Quarter Final. The match remained in the balance as both teams showed their dominance on the pitch as no team get any chance to score a single goal during the 90 minutes and even in the extra time. Mighty PAF couldn’t cope the pressure of the Penalty Kicks and lost their berth to Final after losing to KESC 5- 4 after missing the final penalty kick.

NBP and KESC football teams are jubilant and promised their fans that this final will be one memorable encounter in the history of National Challenge Cup.
