Fourth Round of Annual Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Oman Muscat, 9 January 2012

Islamabad: Pakistan and Oman held fourth round of Annual Bilateral Political Consultations in Muscat today. Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Omani Under Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs, Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Obaid Al Harthy discussed whole range of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Oman. Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international situation.

The two sides agreed to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of areas including trade and commerce, finance and banking, law enforcement, education and health care.

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir also called on His Highness Sayyid As’ad bin Tariq Al-Said, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan of Oman and the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

Pakistan’s Ambassador in Oman, Nawabzada Aminullah Khan Raisani and Director General Middle East at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Manzoor ul Haq also participated in the consultations.
