Islamabad, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized the government’s dedication to boosting the growth and productivity of the agriculture sector. On his first visit to the Ministry of National Food Security after assuming additional responsibilities, Hussain highlighted agriculture as the cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy and assured that every resource would be leveraged for its development.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister underlined the critical role of agriculture in the nation’s development and prosperity, announcing plans for an integrated strategy aimed at enhancing the sector. Hussain pointed out that agriculture not only supports millions of livelihoods but is also vital for ensuring food security in the country.
Addressing the myriad challenges faced by the agriculture sector, including climate change, water scarcity, and limited access to modern technology and markets, Hussain reaffirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming these obstacles. Upon his arrival at the Ministry, Hussain was warmly received by Federal Secretary for National Food Captain (Retd) Muhammad Asif and other senior officials, who briefed him on the Ministry’s operations and ongoing initiatives.
