Government Prioritizes IT and Telecommunications Development, Minister Shaza Fatima States

Islamabad, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as a national priority. The minister expressed these views during a discussion with Mr. Huo Junli, CEO of Zong, who recently visited her in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Khawaja highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity services throughout Pakistan. She stressed the importance of employing the latest technology to deliver high-quality digital services, which she described as crucial for the country’s progress.

The meeting between Minister Khawaja and CEO Junli also covered significant topics such as digitalization, improving connectivity infrastructure, the upcoming Spectrum auction, and the rollout of 5G technology. CEO Junli expressed optimism about the telecom industry’s role in collaboration with the Ministry of IT to steer Pakistan towards a more advanced digital future.
