Govt. releases PKR 46.6 bn under PSDP in 1QFY11- Alfalah Securities Limited

Karachi: The Government has been successful in making timely fund releases for water and power initiatives under the Public Sector Development Plan (PSDP) and disbursed PKR 46.6 bn, which account to 16% of the total allocated PKR 290 bn in 1QFY11.

According to Alfalah Securities, out of the total amount released, PKR 26.9 bn were released for infrastructure projects, PKR 19.4 bn for social sector development projects and PKR 0.293 bn for other category projects. The Federal government released PKR 3.6 bn for land acquisition of Diamer Bhasha Dam out of its total acquisition cost of PKR 60.05 bn under the water and power sector while, PKR 3 billion were released for the upraising of Mangla Dam during 1QFY11 out of its total allocated PKR 62.55 bn. Moreover, Mirani Dam project received PKR 100mn, Sabakzai Dam PKR 200mn, Satpara Multipurpose Dam PKR 1bn, Gomal Zam Dam project PKR 250mn, Greater Thal Canal (Phase-I) PKR 100mn Kachhi Canal (Phase-I) PKR 750mn and Rainee Canal (Phase-I) PKR 750mn.
