Healthcare Development Projects Reviewed by Pakistan’s NHSR and C Coordinator

Islamabad, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination (NHSR and C), reviewed the progress of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) projects under the ministry’s ambit. The session focused on the strategic assessment of healthcare initiatives, aiming to bolster the country’s healthcare infrastructure and services through efficient resource utilization and innovative solutions.

According to Press Information Department, during the briefing led by Federal Secretary Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, Dr. Ahmed examined the ongoing efforts and challenges within the PSDP projects. The meeting underscored the necessity of innovative, transparent, and accountable measures in project execution to enhance the healthcare system’s effectiveness and reach. Ahmed pointed out the critical role of these developments in realizing the government’s vision for improved national healthcare services and regulatory mechanisms.

The dialogue also highlighted the need for institutional reforms to elevate the standard of healthcare facilities and regulatory bodies across the nation, ensuring that the objectives of the PSDP projects align with the broader goals of healthcare excellence and accessibility.
