Heavy Rain Causes Damage in North Waziristan, Affects Multiple Homes

Miranshah: Recent heavy rainfall from August 19 to 21, 2024, in North Waziristan has resulted in significant damage to properties, affecting several residents in the region. The downpour led to the destruction of homes and boundary walls in multiple locations, marking a critical period for local disaster management efforts.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the damages included a boundary wall in Dandey Darpa Khel belonging to Saeed ullah, son of Abdullah, and a room along with a boundary wall at the residence of Rasheed Rehman, son of Asal Bat Khan, in Chota Datta Khel. Additionally, the homes of Shakir Ullah Abdul Hamid and Baitullah, both residents of Village Machas in Tehsil Miranshah, each suffered damage to a room due to the severe weather conditions.
