High Court of Balochistan Reviews Crucial Infrastructure Projects, Calls for Timely Fund Release

The High Court of Balochistan, led by Justice Abdullah Baloch and Justice Rozi Khan Balich, addressed the critical funding and execution issues concerning several major road projects in the region, including the N25 Karachi, Khuzdar, Quetta, and Chaman Road. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during the court session, various stakeholders, including Member Planning Division NHA Islamabad Asim Amin and Member NHA Balochistan Basharat Hussain, presented updates on the construction and funding of key infrastructure projects. Amin provided the court with tender notices for the N25 road sections and affirmed that work orders would be issued by June 30, 2024, backed by an allocation of approximately Rs.42 billion from federal resources. The court issued directives to expedite the release of these funds to ensure the timely completion of the N25 road, emphasizing the need for immediate action to mitigate the infrastructure deficit in Balochistan.
