IG Punjab Advocates for Inter-Sectarian Harmony During Mianwali Visit

Mianwali: In a concerted effort to bolster peace and tolerance, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, alongside Secretary Home Punjab, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, conducted a detailed review of the law and order situation in Kalabagh, Mianwali, urging calm and cooperation among local sects.

According to Punjab Police, the visit followed a series of inspections by IG Punjab in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Lahore, where he engaged with community leaders and religious scholars to ensure the security of the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Ali Hajvari r.a. Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of unity and tolerance among various religious communities, noting that peace could only be sustained through the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including security agencies and local leaders.

The delegation included prominent religious figures such as Hafiz Zubair Hassan from Lahore’s Divisional Peace Committee, Deputy Principal of Jamia Ashrafia Lahore Mufti Raghib Naeemi, and other scholars from across Punjab, highlighting a broad commitment to fostering a harmonious environment.
