Lahore, In a recent meeting at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, responded to the grievances of police employees and their families by issuing immediate relief orders.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting focused on the rapid resolution of issues raised by the police force and their families, highlighting the department’s commitment to addressing their concerns promptly. Dr. Anwar personally listened to the employees’ problems and directed relevant authorities to take swift actions to provide relief. Actions included financial assistance for the education abroad of Constable Saeed Ahmad Shaheed’s son and the permanent posting of Lady Constable Yasmeen Kanwal at the Elite headquarters. Additionally, requests for family recruitment were addressed, such as the employment of Constable Muhammad Sharif’s son Zohaib Anjum and Constable Rai Mumtaz Khan’s widow’s son as a Traffic Assistant.
The meeting also saw requests for the cancellation of transfers, such as Assistant Shahzadi Asmat’s request, which Dr. Anwar directed to be reconsidered for relief. These decisions reflect a broader directive from the IG for all supervisory officers to ensure timely action and support for police personnel and their families, emphasizing the importance of their welfare within the force.
