India in a hurry to hold so-called polls in flood-hit IOK: Malik

Srinagar, October 21, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has lashed out at India and its local stooges for being in a hurry to hold the so-called assembly elections in the territory at a time when people are grappling with the aftermath of last month’s devastating floods.

Muhammad Yasin Malik while addressing flood-affected people at Chhattabal in Srinagar said that it was ironic that while examinations had been postponed till March due to floods, India and its stooges in Kashmir were keen on holding the farce elections on time. “This exposes the inhuman and hypocritical attitude of India and its political stooges towards Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

The JKLF Chief, who distributed blankets and other relief material among the people, said that despite the passage of 45 days since the floods, thousands of homeless were living in the open. Pro-India politicians in pursuit of lust for power can go to any extent, he added.
