Indian police arrest APHC leaders, Yasmeen Raja, Zamruda Habib in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police arrested the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders, Yasmeen Raja and Zamruda Habib, in Srinagar city, today. The police arrested Yasmeen Raja and Zamruda Habib from Pantha Choke area of the city. The police lodged the APHC leaders at women’s police station Rambagh.

It is to mention here that Indian police and troops have arrested over 1000 innocent Kashmiris during the last two weeks in the ongoing crackdown ahead of the G20 meeting being hosted by Narendra Modi-led Indian government in Srinagar. The G20 meeting being held next week is aimed at misleading the world about the prevailing grim situation of the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leaders, Khadim Hussain and Shameen Shawl, in their separate statements issued in Islamabad strongly denounced the arrest of Yasmeen Raja and Zamruda Habib. They said the Indian rulers will not succeed to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission through arrests and other brutal tactics.
