Indian Troops Conduct Extensive Search Operation in Kulgam

Srinagar, A comprehensive cordon and search operation (CASO) was initiated by Indian troops in Kulgam district, a region in the contested area of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation began in the Redwani area of the district late in the evening. Concurrently, Indian police reported the onset of an encounter in the Redwani Payeen area, suggesting a potential escalation in the conflict within the district.

The operation in Kulgam is part of a broader series of actions, with extensive search operations continuing across several districts including Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Kathua, and Doda. This marks the fourth consecutive day of such operations, indicating a significant military and police presence in the region.
