Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bhuti held a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday and exchanged views on overall law and order situation in the country.
They also discussed matters of mutual interest, including the upcoming general elections.
The Speaker expressed his satisfaction on the overall law and order situation.
The Interior Minister assured to extend all possible cooperation to the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold transparent polls in the country. He also apprised the Speaker of measures taken for the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals.
