Interior Minister Naqvi Orders Strict Security Measures for Chinese Nationals in Pakistan

Islamabad, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed security agencies, including the police, to rigorously implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the protection of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, emphasizing that any negligence will be met with strict disciplinary action. The directives came during a meeting at the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) headquarters where the implementation of the National Action Plan was reviewed.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi stressed the importance of equipping security departments with modern technology to combat terrorism effectively. He assured that the federal government would provide full support to provincial authorities in this endeavor. Additionally, Naqvi outlined plans for a joint operation to eradicate criminal elements from the Kacha area, noting that modern technology, including drones, will be utilized in these operations. The Interior Minister also expressed satisfaction with ongoing anti-smuggling efforts and called for stringent legal actions against those involved in smuggling activities.
