Interior Ministry directed to issue arms licenses to interested parliamentarians

The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday evening with Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair.

At the outset, members raised concerns about their personal security in wake of threats from anti-social elements. They were of the view that the interior ministry is giving a deaf ear to their requests to obtain arms’ licenses.

The chair directed the interior ministry to issue arms licenses within one week to those parliamentarians, who have submitted their complete applications for the same.
