Islamabad Announces New Fuel Prices Reflecting International Market Trends

Islamabad, The Government of Pakistan has updated the consumer prices for petroleum products, indicating an increase in petrol prices and a decrease in high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, effective from April 1, 2024. This adjustment comes in response to the recent fluctuations in the international oil market.

According to Press Information Department, the price of petrol has been set at Rs. 289.41 per liter, marking an increase of Rs. 9.66 from the previous rate. Conversely, the price of HSD has been reduced to Rs. 282.24 per liter, decreasing by Rs. 3.32. These changes reflect the government’s ongoing policy to align domestic fuel prices with international market dynamics, ensuring that shifts in global oil prices are mirrored in the domestic market.
