Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police has intensified security arrangements in the city’s high security zone following special directions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The enhanced measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure peace and tranquility within the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the force has been conducting regular data registration, identification document checks, and thorough searches of citizens entering the high security zone. During the last week, the police removed tinted glasses and improper number plates from 1,732 vehicles at various checkpoints in the high security zone.

Police officers and officials stationed at these checkpoints have been instructed to perform their duties with full responsibility, focusing on the protection of important public and private property, as well as embassies located in the high security zone. To maintain safety, officials are required to ensure data entry for all citizens entering the zone and scrutinize identification documents.

The police are also directed to search all suspicious vehicles and maintain a positive attitude towards the public. The emphasis on vigilance aims to detect and prevent potential security threats.

Citizens are urged to cooperate with the Islamabad Capital Police and report any suspicious activity via the “Pucar-15” helpline. The collaboration between law enforcement and the public is seen as essential to maintaining security and fostering a safer environment for everyone in Islamabad.
