Islamabad Police Lead Anti-Narcotics Awareness Walk “Nasha Ab Nahi”

Islamabad, Islamabad Police hosted a significant awareness walk today under the anti-narcotics campaign “Nasha Ab Nahi,” aimed at rallying public support against drug abuse. The event drew a diverse group of participants, including children, students, business leaders, and police officers, illustrating the community’s united stand against narcotics.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the walk started from Shaheed Millat F-6/1 and ended at D Chowk. Throughout the event, attendees discussed the harmful effects of narcotics and pledged their support to the police’s efforts to keep the capital drug-free. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi addressed the crowd, emphasizing the need for a collaborative effort to combat drug addiction and calling for similar initiatives in other provinces.

The IGP detailed the police’s ongoing actions against drug trafficking, noting that 250 drug dealers had been arrested since the inception of the movement. He stressed the importance of continued enforcement and awareness efforts across educational institutions and commercial centers to eradicate drug use.

The event concluded with IGP Rizvi expressing his commitment to protecting the youth and thanking all participants for their dedication and support in this crucial social cause.
