Javed Mir pays glowing tributes to martyrs

Srinagar, June 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, liberation leader, Javed Ahmad Mir, has paid glowing tributes to the youth who were recently martyred by Indian troops in Shopian and Pulwama areas. Javed Ahmed Mir in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the New Delhi-appointed interlocutors had failed to do anything to alleviate the suffering of the people of occupied Kashmir.

“We fail to understand as to how they are again coming at the doors of the pro-freedom leaderships with offer of talks. They are always shedding crocodile tears,” he said.

Javed Mir said that on one hand, the Kashmiri detainees lodged in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Tihar, Jammu, Kot Bhalwal and Udhampur jails were facing lot of hardships, while on the other, members of civil society and NGOs were coming to Srinagar from Delhi to visit the tourist spots. “Here they are just beating the drums of talks and paying lip service to the victims,” he added.
