The Mirwaiz said that the human rights bodies could play a vital role in highlighting the humanitarian aspect of the Kashmir dispute and hoped that the ICRC would expedite its efforts to draw the world attention towards Indian atrocities against the Kashmiris. He also urged the ICRC to help in bringing forth the facts about the thousands of disappeared persons and unnamed graves in the occupied territory.
