Karachi City Council to Discuss Key Civic Issues in Upcoming Meeting

Karachi, The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Council is set to convene for a general body meeting chaired by the Mayor, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, on Monday at 3 pm in the Council Hall, Jamshed Nusserwanjee Building on M.A. Jinnah Road. The agenda for the meeting includes several significant civic and administrative matters affecting the city.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the council will deliberate on improving medical services provided by KMC, collecting parking fees through the Charged Parking Department, and upgrading certain positions within the KMC’s Schedule of Establishment. Additionally, the Pediatrics Department of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is proposed to be renamed the Waseela Jahan Pediatrics Department, among other agenda items including amending the procedure for appointing Pesh Imams and approving an increase in the existing imprest accounts of various departments.

The meeting will also allow for the introduction of other matters with the permission of the chair, indicating a comprehensive session aimed at addressing diverse aspects of city management and public welfare.
