Waziristan Business Community Seeks Compensation for War Damages

Peshawar, Traders and shopkeepers from North Waziristan met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Advisor for Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, to discuss long-delayed compensation for losses sustained during the military operation Zarb Azab.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the delegation reported that despite previous government promises and allocated funds, compensation for the destruction of over six thousand shops has not been received. Dr. Saif assured the delegation of his commitment to resolving the compensation issue and communicated the provincial government’s awareness and efforts to address the grievances of the affected business community. This meeting highlights ongoing challenges in the tribal districts and the need for the government to fulfill its commitments to the people of Waziristan.
