Karachi, The industrial community of the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) area in Karachi has expressed strong approval for the efforts of Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar and Sindh Minister for Industries, Commerce and Revenue Muhammad Younus Dagha. These leaders have been recognized for their actions in fostering a conducive environment for investment and industrial growth in both Sindh province and Karachi specifically.
According to S.I.T.E Association of Industry, this affirmation came during a recent meeting at the CM House. The event, which included government department representatives, town association presidents, and other stakeholders, saw Muhammad Kamran Arbi, President of the SITE Association of Industry, highlight the effective communication of industrial challenges to CM Sindh by Sindh Minister for Industries, Muhammad Younus Dagha. This dialogue, Arbi noted, was pivotal in garnering appreciation for Minister Dagha.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Baqar received commendation for his prompt decision-making on key issues and for assigning clear responsibilities to various department heads to enhance performance. Patron-in-Chief of the SITE Association of Industry, Zubair Motiwala, who also attended the meeting, echoed this sentiment, appreciating the positive steps and attitudes of both the Sindh Chief Minister and the Sindh Minister for Industries.
The meeting covered crucial industry issues in the SITE area, including the supply of water to industries, the installation of a water pipeline from Hub Dam to the SITE area, gas tariffs, gas pressure concerns, and the establishment of a Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). In response, CM Sindh instructed the relevant secretary to prepare summaries of these schemes and arrange a separate meeting to discuss CETP-related issues in the coming days.
