Karachi Police Report Progress in Crime Reduction Efforts in 2024

Karachi, The Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has released a detailed report on the law enforcement’s achievements in curbing crime and apprehending suspects throughout 2024.

According to Sindh Police, the report, presented by AIG Operations Sindh, highlighted that out of 46 murder cases related to robbery registered this year, 27 have been resolved through diligent police efforts, resulting in the arrest of 33 suspects and the death of 13 during police operations. In total, these incidents resulted in the death of 48 civilians. The report also noted that of 12 other murder cases, the police have successfully resolved eight.

IG Sindh emphasized the police’s commitment to solving crimes and ensuring public safety, stating their continuous vigilance. He called on the community to aid the police by installing surveillance cameras at homes and businesses, and by actively participating as witnesses in criminal cases. The IG assured that the police force would spare no effort in preventing crime and administering justice, acknowledging the sacrifices made by officers in the line of duty.
