Body of Seventh Victim in Srinagar Boat Tragedy Recovered After 11 Days

Srinagar, Eleven days after a tragic boat accident, the body of a minor boy was found near Rajbagh in Srinagar, marking the seventh victim to be recovered.

According to Kashmir Media Service, officials reported that the child’s body was found floating in the Jhelum River near Rajbagh in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The authorities handed the body over to the police for medico-legal formalities.

Local sources indicated that the body has not yet been identified, but it appears to be that of a young child.

The tragic incident occurred on April 16 when a boat carrying 19 people capsized in the Ganderbal area of Srinagar as it was crossing the Jhelum River. Six people died in the accident, while ten others were rescued.
