Karachi to Host 12th International Defense Exhibition in November

Karachi: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has announced that Karachi will host the 12th edition of the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar, IDEAS 2024, from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Center. The event aims to foster global peace, stability, and prosperity through enhanced trade and strategic relationships between Pakistan and international delegates.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the announcement was made during the second steering committee meeting for IDEAS 2024, which included discussions on the organization and execution of the event. Notable attendees included Provincial Ministers Sharjeel Memon, Saeed Ghani, Zulfiqar Shah, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, Major General Asad Nawaz of the Defense Export Promotion Organization (DPO), along with other high-ranking officials.

Chief Minister Shah emphasized that IDEAS 2024 is not only a platform for showcasing technological advancements and innovation but also a significant opportunity for strengthening international relations. The meeting covered various logistical aspects of the event, ensuring the participation of defense industrialists, business leaders, and policy makers from around the globe.

IDEAS, established in 2000, has historically been a pivotal gathering for promoting defense cooperation and launching collaborative projects. This year’s event will include exhibitions of the latest defense technologies, international seminars, and B2B/B2G meetings designed to expand business and government interactions. A special day for the public will also be organized on November 21, 2024, at Seaview (Nishan Pakistan) in Karachi.
