KCCI President Requests Delay in Implementing Tax Regulation SRO 350

Karachi, The President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Iftikhar Ahmed Sheikh, has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to postpone the implementation of SRO 350. The request comes as concerns raised by the business community regarding the regulation remain unresolved.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the meeting to discuss the potential impacts of SRO 350 with FBR officials was scheduled to take place at the Karachi Chamber on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024. However, the meeting was postponed due to a public holiday declared on account of the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, to Karachi. Sheikh emphasized the need to defer SRO 350 until the issues could be thoroughly examined and settled in consultation with all stakeholders.
