Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Directs Enhanced Electricity Load Management to Mitigate Summer Outages

Peshawar, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry has directed enhanced electricity load management to provide relief from summer outages. During a meeting in Peshawar, Chaudhry emphasized the importance of uninterrupted electricity supply and collaborative efforts among the province’s administrative divisions and local electricity distribution companies.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting included senior officials from Pesco, police, and both divisional and district administrations. Additional Chief Secretary Interior Abid Majeed presented a detailed action plan, approved at the federal level, aimed at reducing and eventually eliminating load shedding across the province. The plan involves local communities in managing electricity load shedding on a village-to-village basis and includes provisions for meter restoration through easy installment payments for consumers.
