Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Advisor Criticizes Lack of Tax Increase Plan by PDM Government

Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Advisor Muzamil Aslam has said that unfortunately the PDM government has no plan to increase taxes, and the irony is that more taxes are being collected from the taxpayers.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muzamil Aslam stated in a press release that it is a pity that the IMF is also imposing such policies, and stakeholders are not taken into confidence in IMF and government negotiations. Muzamil Aslam emphasized that the government should consist of provincial and federal members. He suggested forming a board whose members should be empowered to negotiate with the IMF. The Finance Advisor stressed the importance of consensus before taking tough policy measures.
