Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Calls for Better Job Opportunities for Students

Peshawar, Addressing the National Women’s Youth Career Conference in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, emphasized the urgent need to provide quality education and employment opportunities for students, particularly women, to combat unemployment and foster national development.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Minister highlighted the current educational initiatives and the vital role of skilled education in preparing students for the job market. The conference, held at Frontier Women’s Girls College and supported by the Department of Higher Education and Friendship Foundation, included career counseling sessions, where representatives from about 20 departments advised female students on diverse career paths beyond teaching.

The event also featured competitions in various domains such as painting, crafts, and cooking, aimed at empowering young women. Afridi encouraged the students to explore their potential and prepare for future leadership roles in Pakistan, stressing the importance of confidence and self-discovery. The successful conference underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing educational outcomes and employment prospects for young people in the region.
