Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Orders Swift Action on Kurd Sharif Mountain Fire

Kirk, In response to a wildfire on Kurd Sharif mountain, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Forests and Environment, Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai, has directed forestry officials to mobilize and contain the blaze. The minister emphasized the urgency of addressing the fire, which has already been 80% contained, despite challenges in accessing certain areas.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial government, following directives from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has deployed a team to Kirk to tackle the fire using all available resources. Local district administration staff are also on-site assisting with efforts to fully extinguish the fire. Minister Yousafzai has further instructed the Forestry Department to remain vigilant and implement preventive measures against potential fires, especially with rising temperatures posing increased risks.
