Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moves to Establish Provincial Higher Education Commission

Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is taking steps to establish a Provincial Higher Education Commission (HEC) to manage educational matters including research, financial, and administrative affairs smoothly.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Afridi discussed these plans during a briefing at Hazara University, emphasizing the province’s commitment to providing quality education and addressing the financial challenges faced by universities. The minister’s visit included meetings with university officials such as the vice chancellor and deans, focusing on enhancing scholarship opportunities and overall student welfare. Afridi also highlighted the significant roles of the university’s ORIC and QAC offices in maintaining quality education and fostering connections with industrial units.
