Korean Ambassador and Pakistani IT Minister Discuss Digitalization and IT Park Project

Islamabad: Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Pakistan, Mr. Park Kijun, met with Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss mutual interests, including digitalization and the Islamabad IT Park project.

According to Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, the meeting focused on the value Pakistan places on its relationship with Korea, particularly in IT and Telecommunication sectors. Both parties expressed a desire to leverage each other’s experiences to enhance their IT capabilities. Minister Khawaja highlighted initiatives under the Prime Minister’s directive aimed at digitalizing governance, the economy, and services. She also proposed the exchange of tech experts and the initiation of joint training programs between the two nations.

Furthermore, Minister Khawaja thanked the Korean government for its support in constructing the Islamabad IT Park, a critical project she hopes will be completed soon. Ambassador Kijun reiterated Korea’s commitment to boosting IT and Telecommunication cooperation with Pakistan. Ms. Aisha Humera Chaudhary, Secretary IT, also attended the meeting.
