Kot Addu Power Reports Quarterly and Nine-Month Financial Results

Karachi, Kot Addu Power Company Limited released its condensed interim financial statements for the three-month and nine-month periods ending March 31, 2024. The figures showed a significant increase in profit during the quarterly period, with earnings per share rising from 0.78 to 1.30. The company’s quarterly operating profit stood at 2.2 billion Rupees, a slight decrease from the previous year’s 2.5 billion Rupees. However, profit before tax increased year-over-year from 1.05 billion to 1.42 billion Rupees.

For the nine-month period, Kot Addu Power saw a modest growth in profit with earnings per share increasing from 4.07 to 4.40. The operating profit for the period was reported at 8.13 billion Rupees compared to 10.53 billion Rupees in the previous year. The profit before tax also showed growth, rising from 5.93 billion to 5.07 billion Rupees.

The company’s financials indicated an improvement in other income, which totaled 11.78 billion Rupees for the nine-month period, slightly above the previous year’s 11.59 billion Rupees. This was alongside a notable reduction in finance costs, which dropped from 4.6 billion to 3.06 billion Rupees.
