Kuwait-Pakistan Expo 2025 Aims to Boost Economic Ties

Lahore: The Kuwait-Pakistan Business Expo 2025, scheduled for December 11 to 13 in Kuwait, aims to promote Pakistani products and strengthen economic relations between the two nations. Announced by Muhammad Saleem of the Kuwaiti delegation at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Expo is seen as a significant opportunity for Pakistani businesses to expand in the Gulf region.

Muhammad Saleem emphasized the ongoing efforts to establish a strong market for Pakistani products in Kuwait. He highlighted the Expo as a platform for Pakistani entrepreneurs to showcase their potential and urged both countries’ business communities to explore joint ventures for mutual trade and investment.

LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol praised the initiative to enhance trade ties, noting the historic friendship between Pakistan and Kuwait. He cited the current bilateral trade, which stands at approximately $1.8 billion, and expressed hope that the Expo would lead to new opportunities for trade diversification and investment.

Saigol underscored the potential for increasing Pakistani exports in sectors like pharmaceuticals, auto parts, and IT services. He also identified opportunities for joint ventures in Halal food, mining, and renewable energy. Despite Pakistan’s vast resources, he noted its minimal share in the global Halal food trade, presenting a significant growth opportunity.

LCCI Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh described the Expo as a golden opportunity to strengthen B2B relations, emphasizing the complementary economic relationship between the two countries. He encouraged collaborative ventures for mutual growth and assured proactive promotion of the Expo through LCCI’s extensive network.

LCCI Vice President Khurram Lodhi concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, affirming the Chamber’s commitment to fostering strong trade ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.
