Lahore Moves to Enhance Toyota’s Educational Institutions and Labs for Global Standards

Lahore, In a strategic initiative to boost the quality and relevance of vocational education, the Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce, Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, chaired a meeting at the Toyota Secretariat to assess the progress of Toyota’s ongoing development schemes and to discuss the CM Youth Skills Development Program. The meeting emphasized the importance of enhancing existing institutions rather than founding new ones to ensure educational excellence.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the discussion highlighted the need for Toyota’s educational institutions and labs to meet global standards, focusing on the adoption of advanced technologies and methodologies. Chaudhry Shafi Hussain proposed collaborations with universities such as VMT for lab upgrades and stressed the implementation of biometric attendance systems for both students and staff within Toyota institutes.

The meeting underscored the significance of adapting to future technological trends, particularly in microchip manufacturing. Moreover, it was suggested that Toyota institutes introduce language courses in Arabic, German, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish to better prepare students for the global market. The curriculum of Toyota institutes is to be tailored to the dual needs of the global market and the local industry, ensuring that students receive an education that is both relevant and competitive.

Chaudhry Shafi Hussain also directed attention towards improving the online presence of Toyota institutes by upgrading their website, a move that aims to enhance accessibility and information dissemination to potential students and stakeholders.

The meeting was attended by Secretary of Industry and Commerce Ehsan Bhatta, COO Qurata Al Ain, Senior DG Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Senior Economic Advisor Javed Iqbal, and other relevant officials, all of whom agreed on the critical need for these enhancements to foster a skilled workforce capable of contributing to both local and international industries.
