Karachi: Meezan Bank, in partnership with the IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF), has successfully concluded the second cohort of its initiative, ‘Meezan Justuju – A Quest for Islamic Finance Leaders!’ This educational program aims to prepare young graduates for leadership roles in the Islamic finance sector. It aligns with the bank’s commitment to human capital development by providing structured training and mentorship.
The graduation ceremony for the second batch took place in Karachi, with notable attendees including Mr. Shayan Baig, Deputy Head of Shariah Compliance, and Mr. Arsalan Ahmed Khan, Head of Talent Acquisition and Digital HR Solutions at Meezan Bank. Prior to this, certificate distribution events were held in Lahore and Islamabad, marking the achievements of the participants.
Building on the success of its first batch, which was held exclusively in Karachi, the second cohort of Meezan Justuju expanded to include Lahore and Islamabad. The program offered 42 hours of specialized training, combining core Islamic finance principles with banking knowledge. This initiative equips participants with the skills needed to embark on careers in the Islamic financial sector.
Islamic banking in Pakistan is experiencing significant growth, with a network of over 6,000 branches and an asset base exceeding PKR 11.5 trillion. The sector’s alignment with responsible investment practices is attracting both domestic and international interest. In this context, Meezan Justuju provides a strategic platform for nurturing a values-driven talent pool ready to contribute to the evolving financial landscape.
