Minister Ahsan Iqbal Pledges Coordinated Response to Monsoon Emergencies

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has committed to orchestrating a unified response to emergencies linked to the upcoming monsoon season, emphasizing preparedness and coordination among provincial departments.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the third meeting of the National Disaster Response Committee held in Islamabad, Minister Iqbal underscored the necessity of a coordinated action plan to address climate-related risks. He stressed the vital role of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in ensuring an effective response to such emergencies. The Minister also directed provincial departments to prepare comprehensively, including the timely management of resources such as snakebite vaccinations, to mitigate the impact of monsoon rains.
