Srinagar, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid glowing tribute to the ‘Poet of the East’ Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal on his death anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said in his tributes that Allama Iqbal’s message, which is a philosophical interpretation of the holy Qur’an, is an unparalleled immortal and priceless asset not only for the subcontinent but for the entire world.
He said Allama Iqbal’s message is based on trust in Allah and self-confidence, in which philanthropy, love, tolerance, and human values have been stressed.
Mirwaiz said there is a dire need to practice what Allama Iqbal has taught about self-realisation, service to mankind, and knowledge of God through his philosophy of “Khudi�.
