Islamabad: The National Assembly session that was convened on July 30, 2024, has been officially prorogued upon the completion of its scheduled business.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the prorogation was enacted by the President exercising his constitutional powers under clause (1) of Article 54. This legal provision allows the President to discontinue the parliamentary session once its agenda items have been addressed, signaling a formal end to the proceedings.

This procedural closure marks the conclusion of legislative activities for this session, pending the announcement of a new session to address further governmental business.
