Islamabad: The Ulema and Mashaikh Conference, attended by prominent religious scholars, is currently being held at the Pakistan-China Friendship Center in Islamabad. The conference features Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the chief guest and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir as the guest of honor.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the event, Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain called on the assembled religious leaders to counter extremist ideologies that misrepresent Islam and threaten national stability. He emphasized the importance of their role in fostering peace and unity within the country.
Furthermore, Minister Hussain advocated for an awareness campaign led by these religious figures to protect the rights of minorities, highlighting the need for inclusivity and respect within the community.
