Pakistan and Turkiye Pledge to Boost Trade and Investment Ties

Islamabad: In a significant step toward deepening economic relations, Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral ties and expand trade volumes. This was articulated during a meeting between Pakistan’s Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and Turkiye’s Trade Minister Dr. Omer Bolat in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both ministers discussed various strategies to enhance bilateral economic cooperation, focusing on key sectors such as services, health, education, medicine, and fashion. They also proposed measures to increase flight connectivity and facilitate investment, aimed at boosting investor confidence and economic exchanges between the two nations.

The discussions also covered the ongoing economic reforms in Pakistan, including taxation, the energy sector, and the management of state-owned enterprises, aimed at ensuring long-term economic stability. Both parties expressed a mutual commitment to facilitating investments and improving the business environment to attract foreign direct investment, marking a promising move towards closer economic and cultural ties.
