Nationwide Festivities Mark Third Day of Eid-ul-Fitr as Families Flock to Parks and Tourist Spots

Islamabad, The third day of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with continued excitement as families across Pakistan take to popular outdoor locations to enjoy the holiday. Picnic spots, parks, and beaches are particularly crowded, with notable gatherings observed in both the federal capital and hill stations like Murree. The Murree administration has taken additional steps to accommodate the influx of tourists, including setting up facilitation centers and ensuring security measures.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in Islamabad, families are flocking to recreational sites such as Shakarparian, Rose and Jasmine Garden, Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, and F-9 Park. Similarly, Murree has seen a large number of visitors, prompting local authorities to establish facilitation centers at various points including Satrameel, Sunny Bank, Kuldanna, Jheka Galli, Lower Topa, GPO Chowk, and Kashmir Point to assist tourists and manage the crowd effectively.

In Lahore, significant traffic and visitor numbers are reported at landmarks like Meenar-e-Pakistan and Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. Karachi’s beaches also drew large crowds enjoying the festive period. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s picturesque locations such as Swat, Kalam, Bahrain, Naran, Kaghan, Galyat, and Lake Saiful Maluk are popular destinations for holiday goers. In Balochistan, the historical Ziarat Residency, where Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent his last days, attracted a noteworthy number of visitors. Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan’s hilly sites also saw increased tourist activity.
